Let the training begin!!!

Post by krocko1 on Mon Sep 21, 2009 11:53 am

I am planning on doing regular swims during the week. I no some people do shift work out there so I was wondering if anyone was interested in training with me mornings or during the day for some doubles swim, bike run, bike swim, run. I'm starting my training for next April, May and June triathlon races let me know if you are interested. The support and motivation a group can provide could be the deciding factor in a long training season leading up to our perspective races.

I'll be at the pool at 0600 tomorrow morning. I'm actually at the pool every tuesday and thursday morning. I hear you about how group training can decide a long training season. I'm training for IM Switzerland 70.3, the London Triathlon, and whatever I race in between. Let me know when you plan on starting and I'll see what I can make.

Zurich/Antwerp 70.3

Post by Tri&FlyKelly on Sat Sep 26, 2009 7:17 pm

I'm doing one of the two (deployment dictates)! There are a couple of people at my unit who said they will do one of them. I do my long rides on Sat am and long run sunday am. What are you paces? I'm pretty slow, but working on that? I also swim tuesday and Thursday at the pool. We may have shared a lane. I'm the lady in the "not-so-serious" swim suit! My workout suit is somewhere in the Atlantic! I'm eager to find a beginning group to train with, but it hard finding slower people who are serious about training. Any suggestions? Thanks, Kelly.

Swimming

Post by iTRI on Mon Nov 30, 2009 12:59 pm

Are you guys still swimming in the mornings? Do you have a group swim work out going? I've taken some time off from the pool, but now that the Athens Marathon is over, I'm ready to get back in the water. Planning on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at 6am starting tomorrow. I'm training for a half IM in the spring (haven't decided which one yet) and IM Switzerland in July. Swimming is my weakest discipline so I'd love to have a group to kick my ass in the pool!
