Limburgs Mooiste

Post by Off the Back on Thu Jan 28, 2010 9:55 pm

Hi, has anyone here ever rode Limburgs Mooiste? I would just like to know if it is like a Flanders Cyclosport (ie: one that is at your own pace and leasure) or is this one more like the Tour's Etape which is sort've a race? I tried signing up for the Amstel Gold Cyclosport but I was an hour too late. All 12,000 registrations were filled in 40 minutes this year...ouch! Any info on Mooiste is appreciated.

I rode it last year and did the 150k. Its at your own pace. And very challenging considering all the climes. But there are differnt distances you can ride. Ill be doing it this year as well. Just let me no if you need more info.

The Limburgs is a great ride...resgister early. Did it 6 times and had a blast each and every time. It can be challenging, go at your own pace and HYDRATE....

I rode Limburg twice and oh my god it was awesome...that is from a MTB guy also.... I wouldn't suggest attacking the early climbs because it is a whole day. Climbs tended to be short and steeper at the crest. Many climbs don't count as climbs so if the course says 25 climbs it is more like 30. Great day, usually starts off cool but warms as the day progresses so don't over dress...enjoy
